Aims and Scope:
Mobile Multimedia refers to the multimedia information
exchange over wireless networks or wireless Internet. The popularity and
evolution of mobile computing devices, together with fast, affordable mobile
networks, have made it possible to increase the range and complexity of
mobile multimedia applications and services provided to end-users of these
kinds of equipments. In the core of this revolution is the astonishing
growth in the number, types, novelty, and complexity of mobile multimedia
applications and services.
The Journal of
Mobile Multimedia (JMM) aims to provide a forum for the discussion
and exchange of ideas and information by researchers, students, and
professionals on the issues and challenges brought by the emerging
multimedia technologies for mobile multimedia applications and services, and
the control and management of such networks to support multimedia
applications.
The journal is
devoted to the publications of high quality papers on theoretical
developments and practical applications in mobile multimedia. Original
research papers, state-of-the-art reviews, and technical notes are invited
for publications. While JMM covers a broad range of topics, we are
soliciting papers that provide a perspective on all aspects of mobile
multimedia, including, but not be limited to:
-
Mobile Multimedia Applications & Services
-
Communication and Cooperation through Mobile Multimedia
-
Mobile Multimedia Software Architectures
-
Wireless & Mobile Multimedia Network Management
-
Mobile Multimedia Network Traffic Engineering & Optimization
-
Enabling Infrastructures for Mobile Multimedia
-
Regulatory and Societal Issues of Mobile Multimedia
-
Mobile Multimedia Markets & Business Models
-

Special Issue: Cloud Computing
http://www.rintonpress.com/journals/jmmonline.html
Issued on September 30th,
2012
Cloud computing is a promising
paradigm for the provisioning of IT services. Cloud
computing infrastructures aim to facilitate the seamless
deployment, management and execution of services on a
top of possibility heterogeneous and distributed
hardware and software infrastructures such as networked
datacenters.
Computing Clouds provide the ability
to lease computational resources at short notice, on
either a subscription or pay-per-use model and without
the need for any capital expenditure into hardware or
software for the customers. They could therefore
concentrate on developing innovating services without
worrying about the allocation of the resources to
support them. The main advantage of Clouds providers is
their capability to provide the illusion of unlimited
and immediate provisioning of resources to the
subscriber while at the same time providing acceptable
pricing schemas.
However, to provide such flexibility
in managing the resources, many facets of systems and
data management issues should be revised. Many
challenging issues with respect to architectures,
resources provisioning, scalability, monitoring,
security, privacy, resiliency and maintainability need
to be addressed.
The journal of Mobile Multimedia (JMM)
is soliciting original submissions, for a special issue
on Cloud Computing, that illustrate research results,
projects, and industrial experiences that describe
significant advances in the field. Relevant research
topics include, but are not limited to:
- Cloud computing architectures, protocols and API
- Cloud Federation and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure
- Design Tool for Cloud Computing
- Critical infrastructure for Clouds
- Mobile multimedia and cloud computing
- Security and Privacy in Clouds
- Quality of service and cloud computing
- Cloud computing scalability
- Migration into clouds
- Resource provisioning and management in clouds
- Domain-specific clouds
- Economic and Business Models for Cloud Computing
- Energy management in Clouds
- Monitoring, Management and Maintenance of Clouds
- Industrial cloud test-beds and benchmarking
- Design, implementation and performance
evaluation for cloud applications
Submissions must be original and should not have been
published previously or be under consideration for
publication while being evaluated for this Issue.
The manuscripts should be prepared in standard IEEE
2-column format and submitted to any of the guest
editors by November 30th, 2012, through email (e-mail
addresses see below)
Important Dates:-
Submission deadline : November 30th, 2012
